The Owners recently cleared a portion of woodlands in their back yard and wanted a tree house for their grandchildren to serve as a focal point in this new section of their garden. The simple cedar structure is sized for children and stands on raised posts. It is detailed with a combination of cedar lap, shake, and board-and-batten siding and crowned with a raised-seam metal roof. A tree is planted through the half-round deck that connects the two wings of the tree house.
