Steve is one of the founding members of Shelter Design Studio. He received his Bachelor of Science in Architecture and his Master of Architecture degree's from Lawrence Technological University located in Southfield, Michigan. Prior to working at Shelter Design Studio he was in private practice. Involved in the industry since 1988, Steve has developed a diverse range of experience, working as a designer, carpenter, draftsman, project manager and illustrator. Currently pursuing architectural licensure, Steve is involved with the AIA as an associate member. He is also a member of the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, the Emerging Professionals Committee (an affiliate of the AIA), and the Michigan Historic Preservation Network. In early 2011 Steve will be pursuing LEED accreditation.
Along with Jason, Steve's core tasks at Shelter Design Studio involve the design, project development, marketing and production and coordination of the work that the firm generates. He assists Shelter's clientele in developing effective solutions for the various programming challenges that surface during project feasibility, and he administers the projects under construction that require that service.
Currently, the main focus of Steve's time resides with project design and production, as well as, providing Construction Administration services for the projects currently under construction. Steve is also wrapping up his Architectural Registration Exams (ARE's), and is expected to be registered in late 2010. |
